How to Clear Storage and Cache on an Android App

Method 1: Holding on to the app icon

  1. Locate the app icon you want to clear the storage and cache for.
  2. Press and hold on to the app icon until a pop-up menu appears.
  3. Select the "App Info" option from the pop-up menu.
  4. Tap on "Storage & cache" in the App Info screen.
  5. Tap on Clear storage or Clear cache, depending on what you want to clear.

Method 2: Using the "Manage apps" or "Apps" section

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Manage apps" or "Apps" depending on your device's version.
  3. Tap on the "See all" option at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Scroll down and find the app you want to clear the storage and cache for.
  5. Tap on the app name.
  6. Tap on "Storage & cache".
  7. Tap on Clear storage or Clear cache, depending on what you want to clear.
